On 12nd June 2016, we made donation trip to Aung Theidhi Monastery which is located between Mhawbi and Tike Kyi Township in Yangon. There are around 400 students including orphans who are currently educated by the monastery. We donated stationary, medicine, clothing and rice for all the students. On Tuesday, March 28th 2017, our Shop's team went to Shwedagone Pagoda and donated soft drinks to the visitors. It was such a memorable moment and we were so delighted to see the happiness showing on their faces. We have committed that we will contribute to the development of Myanmar people by bringing more social activities in the future.
We visited the Training School of Home Science, Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Department of Social Welfare on March 7, 2017 to celebrate International Women’s Day. It is a school of social welfare where Myanmar women can learn home science such as tailoring, baking and food recipes classes under the supervision of the department of Social Welfare. We donated Philips electronic irons and blenders to the training school.
On 2nd October, we made a tour to Hnin Si Gone old age home which provides over 170 old people food, health care and shelter. We went there to make a memorial donation and paying homage ceremony for our 3rd anniversary and Thadingyut.
As an organization which behaves ethically and cares for society, we embrace the host country’s tradition. The Waso robe offering is recognized as a noble donation in Burmese tradition. Shop.com.mm ‘s Waso-robe offering ceremony was held on 10th August 2018 at Phaung Daw Oo Monastery. At the ceremony, we undertook five percepts recited by a member of the Sanghas. Afterwards, we offered Waso-robes and provisions to the Sangha.
